Upgrading Water Infrastructure to Improve Quality and Long-Term Performance

This project involves the construction of a 5,600-square-foot water treatment plant designed to improve water quality and modernize critical treatment processes. The new facility houses greensand filtration and granular activated carbon (GAC) pressure vessels, a backwash storage tank with pumps, and dedicated spaces for chemical storage, laboratory operations, controls, mechanical systems, and electrical equipment, along with essential building support areas.

Site improvements include installation of an enclosed aeration system for radon removal, settling lagoons with an infiltration basin for process discharge, an emergency generator for backup power, and supporting wastewater infrastructure, including a septic system, tight tank, and injection well.

The project also upgrades the existing pump station through removal of outdated chemical feed and electrical equipment and replacement of the high lift pumps to ensure reliable integration with the new treatment plant.
